New Family Devotion Book

Today we were at a book store, and I found The One Year Devotions for Kids.

Isn't Jan. 1st the perfect time to find a new good devotion book? We started it on the way home from the store as a family.

Our boy started by reading James 3:2-10 from my Bible i-Phone app. Then I read the devotion in the book. It was titled The Broken Eggshell. The lesson was on thinking before you speak because you can never take back words that you say. Just like you can't put an egg back together after you crack it.

Then our girl read the memory verse at the end of the page: Don't use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. Ephesians 4:29.

Yes...a good lesson to start the new year!

I was going through all the kindergarten teachers and saw you, a GA girl too. I enjoyed reading your post about the kids devotional. I need to get my boys that book too. So I am off to barnesandnoble.com.

Hey Heather, Glad you came across the post! Did you get the devotion book? We have really liked it so far this year. Have you been "iced in" where you are? We have been out of school Mon-Thurs. this week. I'm getting lots of projects done around the house! Thanks for making a comment. :)

I teach in Banks County and we have been out this week too. I went in today and teachers go tomorrow too. But no kids.

I have the devotional in my cart but have a few more books I want to purchase but never have time to finish the process. Hopefully this week.

I have done nothing but play in the snow//ice and gain weight. Who knew cereal and popcorn (all we had in the house) would make you gain so much weight. :)
